LANA has been a participating member of the Lama Medical Research Group since its inception and formation at Lama Assembly in the early 90's. Camelid Research Fund - Established by contributions from LANA's membership, and turned over to the Morris Animal Foundation (MAF), where the annual interest earned by the fund is used to support vital research. This fund has grown during the ten years since its inception to over $148,000. In addition, our annual EXPO fund-raising adds to the funds available. Several years ago LANA reached the "Sapphire" level that the MAF established for those organizations that had contributed between $100,000 and $250,000 to research.
