Humdinger Award 2008 - Charlie Hackbarth Charlie Hackbarth, (Mt. Sopris Llamas Unltd., La Veta, Colorado) continues to be one of the premier teaching icons to Pack Llama enthusiasts.  Charlie, like so many of our pioneers in the llama industry possesses a significant background in teaching and Charlie is a great teacher. When most of us think about learning to pack with llamas we think of Charlie Hackbarth.  But Charlie is so much more then that. Charlie's wisdom, incredible educator skills, articles, training clinics and humane and safe pack saddles and gear have continued to expand abilities and educate llama owners throughout the nation.  Charlie is the type of person who always “gives back” so much to our great Lama Community.  Charlie is truly deserving of the “2008 LANA Humdinger Award” because he is a true asset to llamas and to the promotion of llamas as the ultimate pack animal.  Thank You Charlie for all of your positive contributions and support of the pack llama and our entire lama community.
