"I would like to thank LANA for nominating and selecting me for the prestigious "Follow Me Award" I am very sorry I could not be there to recieve it, I know how much fun it is to present an award and get to see the response. Unfortunately work called and the economy being as it is I could not say no. I believe that in every organization you need volunteers, for the volunteer, often the only thanks they get is the personal gratification of a job well done. Without volunteers ie time or money, we would not have our organizations. Everything is important, from the sacred gate keeper nagging everyone to be on time, the poop scooper keeping llamas on the move in the ring, the ring steward giving directions to the clueless exhibitors (me) or asking us to move along right after we got our llama set up. Our volunteers at the computer, accounting, score keeping, decorating, this list is never ending. I find that the volunteers do have limits, I have always felt that you can't fire a volunteer, but they can quit. I raise my plaque to all the volunteers and thank you." Margaret Drew
