PACKER’S PRIMER-$20.00
Instructors, Nancy and Robin Hester, Pack Llama Trial Association (PLTA) Instructors and certifiers. A beginning and basics class for less experienced and no experience packers. Will cover types of packs and other equipment, weight and balance, what you need to take, safety, and PLTA requirements for participating in Pack Trials. This class will take a large portion of the day approximately 4 hours.

MAKE A PUBLIC RELATIONS PACK for your llama $20.00.
Instructors Vonnie Sumner costume designer and creator for Yuba County Society for the Arts Opera productions, Karen De Hart will assist. Make a professional looking parade or show off pack of your own design. All materials will be provided for your $20.00 fee. If you have items you think you would like to incorporate in your personal pack please bring fabrics and trims with you. These packs will include a girth and breast collar. Think about a theme for your pack-patriotic, holiday…. This class will be available all day long. If you have a scheduling conflict (show class, other workshop) you can start your pack, leave, and come back later to finish you pack. You’ll be sorry to miss this one
FIBER CRAFTS
Instructors Jana Kane, professional fiber crafts artist from the Grass Valley area, Theresa Pierce will assist. Materials and equipment will be provided. At this center you will be able to learn to evaluate fiber, spin, needle felt, or locker hook.
Special guest instructor, Margaret Drew will give a class in “Walking Weaving”. Times will be announced or you can come by and request instruction in the areas of your interest. You can come and go all day long or stay as long as you like.
SPINNERS
If you are a spinner please bring your wheel. A shaded area will be set up ring side for your spinning pleasure. Enjoy the company of fellow spinners and spin while you watch the show. If you don’t yet spin but have a wheel bring it and get some help.
BEGINNING CART DRIVING
Instructors, long time cart drivers Kathy Nichols, Norma Stevens and Mike Kane. This is a beginner’s class for people interested in learning about cart drivingThis is a beginning class for people interested in getting started driving. The class will be held just before the driving classes for the show. You will learn about equipment and harnessing. There will also be discussion at ring side during the driving portion of the show, to learn as you observe the class.
MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES
Though out the day lectures and demonstrations in Llama Basics. None of these will be more than an hour long and times will be announced.

A supervised children’s area will be available with various arts and crafts activities. Don’t forget to bring your llama even if you are not going to show.
