Good Afternoon LANA Members!

I hope your summer is off to a good start and that all is well. Your LANA Board of Directors has been busy trying to find interesting activities and to offer additional educational events to the membership. and in different areas of the country, rather than just the one annual Expo event. As you are all aware, LANA has taken over the Classic HOBO Show and are going to hold it annually in January. The LANA Round-up is taking the place of our old EXPO venue which is still held in June each year. Here is another new event we want to offer:

The LANA Board has approved a Lama Fleece Information Class on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Wild Oak Llamas in Grass Valley, California. Marilyn Milton will be working with the LANA Members attending our Saturday Class. LANA is charging a nominal fee $40 for members & $55.00 for non-members.
The LANA Board has also proposed hosting an ALSA Judging Clinic as follows:

ALSA Llama and Alpaca Fleece Beginning/ Advanced Judging Clinic

Location:
Wild Oak Llamas - Rick and Mary Adams
Grass Valley, CA www.wildoakllamas.com 530 273-8931

Date: September 11, 12, and 13
Host Hotel: Holiday Inn Express - Grass Valley, CA
Major Airport: Sacramento International, Sacramento, CA

The LANA Members Fleece Class will be separate from the ALSA Judging Clinic. We will be together for meals. The LANA Members attending our class may be used as handlers for the ALSA Clinic during Walking Fleece practice.

LANA will gather and arrange sufficient fleeces for the proposed ALSA Clinic and line up a variety of Fleeces - sufficient for practice and training. Wild Oak Llamas has many types of llamas - including Suri and Argentine type. Marilyn Milton will also be bringing several Suri llamas.

The LANA Board is hopeful that these dates will work for ALSA, as Rick and I only have the proposed weekend open.

If you have any questions or commits, please fill free to contact anyone of us on your board.
